Sk Tg Bako housed 145 students ranging from pre-school to primary 6. This primary school is pratically built of wooden structure and on stilts. When there is king tide during the month, the water from the nearby river will flood the school. Despite the inconvenience, they have been living like this for the last 40 years.
During the joint project, the Leos from St Teresa's Leo club and their English Club's members carried out activities with the vaious classes. The Lions members on the other hand conducted a vision screening and deworming exercise for all the children.
The school treated all the Lions and Leos to lunch before their departure. The members who attended the project are President Irene Tan, Secretary Jane Ling, Treasurer Caroline Sim, PP Dora Lam, Lion Kristie Lok, PP Jessie Ho, OC PP Sheila Adenan, Incoming President Alice Kon and PP Sheila Kho. A friend of Lion, Jenny Ling also helped out during the project.
