Region 1 Youth Camp 17-19 March 2016

The youths comprising mostly of Leos attended the 3 days 2 nights youth camp at Chung Hua Middle School No1,Kuching from the 17-19 March 2016. District Governor Dato Lawrence Ting officiated at the opening and gave an inspiring talk to the participants.

Fund Raising Film Screening 24th March 2016

Lions Club of Kuching City organised a Fund Raising film screening of the movie, Batman vs Superman on the 24th March 2016 at MBO,Kuching. The fund raised is so that we can carry out more work for our underprivileged community.

Reaching out to a destitute family in Kpg Segong,Bau-March 2016

Family living in a barely furnished house with no piped water nor electricity. Wife suffered a stroke and is paralysed. Her wheelchair is not in good condition. The couple's two teenage sons struggle to do their school work at night because they only have kerosene lamps. The gravity feed that supplied them with water has broken down and they are now relying on rain water. They are struggling from day to day.

Joint Sight First project with LC of Kuching North-March 2016

Joint Sight First project with LC of Kuching North. Sponsoring seven students from SK Tg Bako to have their eyes checked and glasses prescribed at Guan Ho Leong Optical shop,Kuching. The two Lion clubs also treated them to lunch at KFC before their return journey to their homes.

A joint project between Lions Club of Kuching City and her two Leo clubs, SMK St Teresa and SM Lodge. Twenty six  leos from SMK St Teresa together with two teachers came to the project. SMK St Teresa's leo club and ELS donated some story books, stationaries and goody bags to the students. SM Lodge leo club sent two leos along too. During the project, two murals were painted on the walls at the school.

SKUP project (Feeding the urban poor) 9th Jan 16

 A monthly project at the centre located in the Association of Churches, Jalan Stampin. This centre prepares food for the urban poor every Saturday and the Kuching City members come to assist once a month.

Joint Growth Xmas party 12 Dec 2015

More than one hundred special needs guests and their family members came to participate in the annual Christmas party held at St Joseph's new parish centre. This party was jointly organised by Lions Club of Kuching City and Leo Club of Lodge School.  The Leos organised games and gave away presents to the special needs guests. PDG Tan Soh Har sponsored the food parcels. President Alice and members were at hand to assist with the activities during the party.
