Members of Lions Club of Kuching City receiving the award from DG Dato Betty Wong
Fourteen members attended the 53rd MD Lions Convention in Penang. During the three days in Penang, the members renewed their sisterhood with members of Lions Club of Penang Host and Lions Club of Singapore Central. During the District 308-A2 fellowship cum awards dinner, Lions Club of Kuching City shared the spotlight with Lions Club of Kuching Kota Sentosa by winning eighteen achievement awards in Region 1, from DG Dato Betty Wong respectively. The three incoming key officers, President -Elect Alice Kon, Secretary-Elect, Vincent Tan and Treasurer-Elect Jane Ling attended the Key officers schools. PP Sheila Kho was the speaker at the President-elect school. In addition, PP Sheila also received the Top DC for GLT and the International President's Appreciation Certificate from DG Dato Betty Wong.
The members who attended were President Irene Tan, Secretary Jane Ling, Treasurer Caroline Sim, PP Dora Lam, PP Jessie Ho, Lion Datin Janet Loh, PP Annie Ho, PP Vincent Tan, Lion Kristie Lok, Lion Mona Tan, Lion Lilian Lee, PDG Tan Soh Har, PP Sheila Kho and Lion Alice Kon. A friend of Lion, Jane also attended.
