Zone 2 club's Hari Raya project 12 August 2012

All the four clubs in Zone 2 ( Kuching City/ Kuching Metro/ Kuching Allamanda/ Kuching Hornbill) participated in this meaningful Hari Raya project. Duit Raya,hampers, food ration and new baju raya were sponsored and donated by generous members and well wishers for these 10 needy families. OC PP Sheila Adenan did a splendid job in organising this project and to co ordinate with all the sponsors so that these needy families will have a nicer Raya this year.

13 Lions members and 4 Leo members from our two sponsored Leo Clubs attended the Region 1 Joint Installation at Riverside Majestic Hotel, Kuching. Two new members, Kimmy Kho (sponsored by Secretary Irene Tan) and Jaime Leong (sponsored by President Jessie Ho) were inducted by 1st Vice District Governor Kung Kuok Yiew. PP Sheila Kho being the Zone 2 Chairman was the Presiding Officer for the function. The Board of Directors from the 12 clubs in Region 1 were installed by the Guest of Honour, District Governor Chieng Eu Hea

Japanese Youth Exchange students 20th - 26th July 2012

Two Japanese YE students, Mai Seto and Miho Hashimoto were hosted by PP Sheila Kho from 20th - 26th July 2012.

International relationship- Visit and joint project with sister club Lions Club of Jakarta Nusantara 27th July 2012

President Jessie Ho and PP Annie Ho flew over to Jakarta on 27th July 2012 to attend our sister club, Lions Club of Jakarta Nusantara's 33rd Anniversary Banquet. There was exchange of mementos between the clubs and the presidents.
President Jessie also handed over a donation of RM1,000.00 on behalf of the club, towards the Project Fund of our sister club.
The following day, both members took part in the social and welfare project organized by our sister club, together with Lions from Malacca and
Changwon, Korea. 100 orphans and children of single parents were hosted at the home of President Hernawati of LC of Jakarta Nusantara in Pejaten Barat, Jakarta. The Lions presented the children with gifts of milk, toys and stationeries and also gifts of money.
