Donation to Home of Peace 14th August 2020

PDG Tan Soh Har accompanied by PP Sheila Kho and PP Jane Ling visted the Home of Peace. They also delivered various food stuff and toiletries to the home which were donated by the members of the club. Home of Peace has been badly affected by the RMCO. Donation by the parishioners has been drastically reduced as services has been suspended. Lions Club of Kuching City has taken up the task to meet their call for help by donating food and other necessarities for the Home which has nearly 30 residents and over 20 staff. PP Sheila Kho sewn 53 washable masks for the Home too. PP Jane handed over some worksheets donated by Pelangi Press.

Leo Club of St Teresa donated fertilizer and gabbage bags worth RM441 to the Home. Leo Advisor Sheila Adenan, accompanied by PP Cecil Adenan delivered the donation. PP Cecil donated some cash too.

Lions Club of Jakarta Nusantara 's 41st anniversary 25th July 2020

President Roger Ting and eleven other members attended the 41st anniversary of our sister club via zoom. The members who joined the celebration were Secretary PP Helena Lim, Treasurer PP Irene Tan, PP Annie Ho, PP Sheila Adenan, PP Sheila Kho, Ln Heng Aik Ban, Ln Patrica Chang, PP Jane Ling, PP Mary Lu, PP Caroline Sim and PP Teresa Wu.

Leo Key Officer Training Session 18th July 2020

PP Sheila Kho conducted the President's duties session for the Region 1 Leos key officers school via zoom. The training was organised by DC leadership Helena Lim.

Region 1 Club's Officers School (Lions) 12 July 2020

 DC Helena Lim and PP Sheila Kho were speakers at the club officers' school which was held in Meritin Hotel, Kuching. DC Helena spoke on Club's officers duties / LCI Report while PP Sheila Kho spoke on membership extension and retention through zoom.

Books for Salvation Army's Children Home 6 July 2020

 Lions Club of Kuching City ordered some books for the Home and they were delivered by Lion Dr Chong Pek Lim.

Dried food donated by the Leo club of St Joseph Private School

This family in need came to our attention through SKUP. OC Heng Aik Ban paid an earlier visit to find out about their difficulties and needs. Nur Karmina is a single mother of 5 kids. She is jobless as she was made redundant due to the pandemic.  She is depending solely on RM300 subsistence from the welfare department. The money in July was delayed and she was left with no money for food for the family. Her six-year-old son has a hole in the heart condition and bone structure problem. PP Sheila Kho immediately raised funds through her homemaker group of friends and send over groceries worth RM350, together with RM400 in cash to her with OC Heng. 

Leo club of St Joseph Private School also sends over dried food for the family.
