With a blink of an eye, the fiscal year is nearly over. This fiscal year had been very active and this is evident by the Top Club award given by District Governor Dr Tan Tsu Kun at the 50th MD 308 Lions Convention in Kuching. Each and every member has play their own part in this achievement. Syabas, Kuching City!

Lions Club of Singapore Central celebrated their golden jubilee with a big bash at Raffles Town Club . In attendance were all  the who's who in  Lions clubs from Singapore, Taiwan, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu. Over twenty past presidents were present at the celebration. A three piece jazz band entertained the guests through the first part of the evening which ended with dancing on the dance floor.  Thirteen members from Kuching City attended the dinner.

Established by Lions Clubs in Singapore in 1980, the nursing home offers various facilities for the elders. There are presently two fully equipped Lions home which houses more than 350 residents in total.

Leo Club of SM Lodge was formed in FY 2001 / 2002 under President Sheila Kho. PDG Tan Soh Har has been the advisor since its formation.

Chinese New year project @ Green Ribbon, 31st Jan 2012

Our club members, Dato and Datin Steve Yap gave angpows to the 20 residents at the Green Ribbon house on the 31st Jan 2012. Their daughter gave away the angpows on their behalf. Green Ribbon house is a home for the destitute. Present at the simple function is PP Caroline Sim , PP Sheila Kho and spouse of President Vincent Tan, Lilian Lee

Chinese New year project @ HOPE 19th Jan 2012

President Vincent Tan lead three members to visit Home of Peace on the 19th Jan 2012 to deliver Chinese New year goodies to the residents. They also shared lunch with them. PP Dora Lam and family donated one wheelchair and Sister Flora received on behalf of the home.

Both our Leo clubs participated in the camp. They were Leo club of SMK St Teresa and Leo club of SM Lodge. DT Sheila Kho and DT Sheila Adenan were speakers at the camp. President Vincent Tan, Z1C Ivy Fong and PP Caroline Sim also attended.

GROWTH project 10th Dec 2011

Grow with the Handicap is an activity of the Catholic church. Our club is privileged to work together with the church to organise a Christmas party for these special friends. This is the second year that we celebrate with them. During the party, PP Dora Lam and family gave away a wheelchair to one of the special guest.

DG Dr Tan Tsu Khoon,Council Chairman Anthony Cheong, PDG Mary Law and 2nd VDG Kung Kuok Yiew also joined in the party.
